Sara Mann – Lullabies

In 2010, Sara Mann faced the heartbreaking loss of her twin son to PKD (polycystic kidney disease). Overwhelmed by grief, she sought physical and emotional healing. Together with the PKD Foundation, Sara embarked on creating a lullaby record, a gift for parents and children in similar circumstances, offering solace to those affected by this disease or any form of loss.

When Sara approached me with her deeply personal story, her voice resonated with both sorrow and hope. I aimed to capture these emotions on the record cover. Against a backdrop of clouds, stars, and a gentle moon, Sara guides two children into the tranquil nighttime sky—a visual representation of the soothing transition from wakefulness to dreams. It’s a poignant tale of comfort and closure, bidding ‘goodnight moon’.
